Dr. Muhammad Afnan Ansari is a postdoctoral researcher at the Institute of Photonics and Quantum Sciences at Heriot-Watt University, UK. He received a Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in flat optics and metasurfaces in 2021. His research interests include the fundamental physics of metasurface and its applications in ultrathin optical devices for holography, microscopy, and polarization detection. Dr. Ansari received his bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering with distinction. Under the research fellowship programme for international researchers, he was awarded a prestigious fellowship by the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TÜBİTAK) in 2018.
