Aqib Raza Shah
Biography
Aqib Raza Shah completed his B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Engineering and Technology (UET), Peshawar, Pakistan, in 2021, and later earned his M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the Information Technology University (ITU), Lahore, in 2023. During his Master’s, he worked as a Research Assistant at the Global Center for Innovative Systems & Solutions (CISS-Global), contributing to research in photonics and computational methods. He also served as a Research Associate at the Center for Innovative Systems & Solutions, ITU.
His research focuses on nanophotonics, particularly the design and simulation of optical metasurfaces, meta-optics, and photonic devices, including metasurface-based imaging platforms for ultra-high-resolution, label-free diagnostics and meta-absorbers for emerging applications.
In parallel, he works at the intersection of artificial intelligence and biomedical imaging, with expertise in deep learning, vision transformers, generative AI (diffusion models and GANs), large language models, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), contributing to AI-driven diagnostic and clinical systems.
